Rose Bay Garden Apartment

Ryan would drive us to view homes in our area and in our price range. Most were off market. We would never have found them ourselves.

Due to the Minns government’s recent introduction of the Low and Mid-Rise Housing Policy (LMR), our much loved family home of 34 years, a charming federation house with a picket fence and sunny back garden on a quiet street in Rose Bay, is going to be monstered on every side by huge developments of apartment blocks seven and eight stories high. We had no choice but accept the final offer of the developer who had already signed up the row of homes adjacent to ours. We assumed we would need the long settlement time to try and find a suitable new abode and that we would need to face the extra hassle of renting if we were still looking when the developer gave us notice to vacate.

It was all sudden, traumatic, daunting.
