Have you ever thought about the fact that in a corporate if everyone gets a promotion except the CEO who retires, the total wage bill could stay the same yet everyone would have got a pay rise.

Well the same seems to be happening with home budgets and home prices, but in reverse. Home buyer’s budgets are getting crunched by interest rates and cost of living yet property prices don’t seem to be going down … could it be that the buyers are just buying smaller places than they would have bought a few years ago. That’s certainly how it seems on the ground.
